PPD UAD Seminar Explores Qualitative Methods
The Doctoral Degree of Education (PPD) Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) held a Seminar and Workshop, Tuesday(11/6). This seminar was their collaboration with the Master of English Education. The theme was Unveiling Perspectives: Exploring Qualitative Methodology in Contemporary Research. They bringing in two resource persons from the University of Gloucestershire, UK named Dr. Alex Masardo and Maria Meredith.
Student of Doctoral Education gathered at the International Conference on Qualitative Research held in Auditorium 4th floor Campus 2 UAD. In this seminar, academics exchange their insights, methodologies, and qualitative research challenges.
One of the highlights of the conference was the unveiling of innovative perspectives on qualitative methodology in contemporary research. Maria, who focuses on Education and Science, delivered an address on the evolving landscape of qualitative research. She emphasized its significance in understanding complex social phenomena. Her insights highlighted the importance of qualitative methods in capturing the richness and depth of human experiences.
Furthermore, the Seminar featured interactive workshops and panel discussions where researchers shared their experiences and best practices in employing qualitative methodologies across various disciplines. Topics ranged from using qualitative research to explore cultural dynamics in urban spaces to understanding the lived experiences of marginalized communities.
This PPD UAD Seminar also showcased cutting-edge research projects that utilized qualitative methods to address pressing global challenges. Dr. Alex Masardo & Maria Meredith showcased how qualitative research techniques, such as in-depth interviews, focus groups, and participant observation, provided rich and nuanced understandings of these complex issues.
