Two Lecturers from PGSD Study Program of UAD FKIP are Rewarded with Doctoral (S3) Scholarship, CGS (Chinese Government Scholarship)
“Two Lecturers from the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) have been rewarded with a doctoral scholarship from the Chinese government, which is called CGS (Chinese Government Scholarship),” said Dwi Santoso, Ph.D. on Monday (27/8) when he saw off Sularso, M.Pd. and Satrianawati, M.Pd. to continue their 5-year doctoral studies in China.
Sularso, M.Pd., a Music Lecturer at the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD), said that he was quite happy to be able to obtain the doctoral scholarship to China with all the support from the study program, faculty, and UAD. All participants who get the scholarship to China have to prepare all the required documents, including their diplomas, which must be in English, in a very limited time. Moreover, they also need to provide a medical check-up certificate and departure passport. Sularso added that one of his valuable experiences to support his doctoral study in China is his involvement in large-scale research conducted by PSKK (UGM) in collaboration with the World Bank in 2007. In addition, he has also been involved in establishing policies for developing the potential development of cultural arts.
