The Implementation of MBKM at Biology Education Study Program in Establishing 7 Collaborations
Biology Education Study Program of UAD FKIP (08/12) – The Biology Education Study Program of FKIP UAD held a collaboration signing with its partners on 8 December 2020. The event was opened by the Vice Dean of FKIP, Dr. Dody Hartanto, M.Pd. This is a part of the Freedom to Learn – Independent Campus (MBKM) Program Grant, the grant received by the Biology Education study program this year. The MBKM program was launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia in 2020. According to the Head of Biology Education Study Program, Dr. Novi Febrianti, there were 7 partners who signed the collaboration documents (MOU and MOA) with FKIP, namely Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Center (MDMC), the Science for Endangered and Trafficked Species Foundation (SCENTS), the Nature Education and Conservation Foundation (YAPEKA), BISA Foundation, Satoloka, PT Multi Flora Javanica, and Sekolah Teladan Yogyakarta. The established cooperation is aimed to support the implementation of MBKM study program curriculum, including internships, teaching assistance, humanitarian projects, and collaborative research.
The MBKM program at the Biology Education Study Program is carried out in 3 semesters, the 6th, 7th and 8th semester. Most of the courses included in the program are elective courses that may be taken by students who have passed the selection process carried out by the study program and its partners. It is expected that students can gain as much experience as possible through various MBKM activities at partner institutions. As a result, after graduating, they can become Biology educators who have more competence, especially as pioneers in environmental preservation. (Hmn)
