FROM MEANINGLESS TO MEANINGFUL: UAD MATHEMATICS EDUCATION PROGRAM OF FKIP CARRIES OUT INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL WRITING COACHING
Yogyakarta. In order to improve the quality of articles written by mathematicians in Scopus-indexed International Journals, Mathematics Education Study Program of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) held an International Journal Writing Workshop as a series of activities for the 2018 National Mathematics Education Seminar (Sendikmad). The activity was held on Sunday (4/11/2018) at the Islamic Center Hall of UAD.
More than 200 participants of this event were enthusiastic about participating in the workshop. The speaker of the event was Dr. Rully Charitas Indra Prahmana, a lecturer from the Mathematics Education Study Program, FKIP UAD, who is also currently the Head of the Center for Writing and Scientific Publication Quality Improvement of UAD.
Rully taught journal writing for international journal publication through step-by-step method, starting from the title of the article which must be effective and efficient, to how to write the research method that must focus on telling the stages of the research in details. “Many article writers know the standards of writing articles in Scopus-indexed journals. If we do the research steps correctly, the article writing for Scopus-indexed international journals is relatively easy,” explained Rully.
Rully also announced that the International Journal on Emerging Mathematics Education (IJEME), published by UAD Mathematics Education in collaboration with SEAMEO QITEP, has been accredited with a second ranking and received a certificate from the Directorate General of Strengthening Research and Development of the Ministry of Research and Technology of Higher Education.
